We engage in philanthropic giving because we believe it is our responsibility to use our resources to make the world outside of Matouk a better place. We invite you to learn about some of our commitments below.
Planet Water is a U.S. based non-profit committed to bringing clean water to underprivileged communities around the world through the installation of community-based water filtration systems and the implementation of Water, Health and Hygiene Education programs. Over the course of 2022, we are working with our Philippine production partners and Planet Water to install five AquaTower filtration systems in needy Philippine public schools. The work of Planet Water aligns with several of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, which call for action by all countries to promote prosperity while protecting the planet.
As our linens take a great deal of water to produce, this project is close to our hearts. We’re grateful for the opportunity to make a difference in world water security, especially in communities where we are active in production.
Gnome Surf is a start-up nonprofit organization based in Fall River, Massachusetts, that uses surf therapy to improve the lives of children with cognitive, physical, and emotional challenges. Inspired by Gnome Surf’s commitment to contribute to a world where acceptance, kindness and empowerment are the norm for children with special needs, Matouk signed up to be the first “Presenting Sponsor” in the organization’s history.
In addition to providing financial resources, we support Gnome through beach swag, networking and organizational thinking. Joining hands with the passionate leaders, instructors and children of Gnome Surf provides our team with endless smiles and inspiration.
As a provider of housing and services to those facing homelessness, Crossroads Rhode Island has made it their mission to support vulnerable women with temporary emergency women’s shelter, financial assistance, education, job training, a domestic violence program, safe and affordable housing, and more. We have partnered with Crossroads for 15 years, providing bed and bath linens to their wide variety of housing operations to make their customers feel just that much more at home. We were honored to receive the 2014 Crossroads Gift of Hope Award.

The pandemic created a sense of urgency to deploy our resources around the world in support of our fellow citizens on the front lines of the crisis. Recognizing the urgent need for facemasks in March of 2020, we immediately converted production resources in Fall River, Massachusetts and the Philippines to supply masks to those who needed them most.
We are proud to say that over the course of the pandemic, we produced nearly 400,000 masks and donated more than 100,000 of them to needy organizations such as the public school systems of Fall River, Massachusetts and Providence, Rhode Island.
