Making a down pillow or comforter takes a careful balance of traditional artisanship and modern innovation. We searched the world for the right partner and found Dorbena. Like Matouk, it's a family business built over generations.
Our down is cleaned and sanitized to precise specifications. Each piece is then made in a facility that runs on solar power and uses biodegradable detergents and pure spring water from the neighboring Swiss Alps.

For optimal care, always pair your Down Collection comforters and pillows with Matouk duvet covers and pillow protectors. Regularly washing bed linens helps protect your Down items, but clean your duvets and pillows no more than once a year. To prolong their life, shake them out daily to help moisture evaporate. Avoid direct sunlight and never beat them to fluff; instead, gently fluff them to prevent clumping and maintain their loft for better insulation and comfort.
When not using your down, place it back in its original Matouk packaging or in loose, breathable storage bags and store in a cool, dry place. Do not compress down during storage, which will negatively affect loft.
Our Down Collection products require cleaning just once a year or less. The Libero, Montreux, Valletto, and Chalet lines are machine washable, while Edelweiss needs professional cleaning. For machine-washable items, use cold water on a gentle cycle with a small amount of mild detergent, and run two rinse cycles. Avoid bleach and fabric softener, and always remove duvet covers and pillow protectors before washing. Ensure items are completely dried on low heat or line dry away from direct sunlight to prevent clumping and mold. Adding wool dryer balls or clean tennis balls in socks can help fluff the down.
