About The Collaboration
Lulu DK for Matouk is an exclusive collection born from our successful partnership with esteemed designer Lulu de Kwiatkowski. Together, we have created designs that marry Lulu’s unique artistic perspective and our expert approach to fabric creation and craftsmanship. The collection is a canvas for Lulu’s chic signature style, which has redefined luxury bed linens for the classic or contemporary bedroom and provided fans stylish new ways to decorate their homes.
more about lulu> >
Lulu de Kwiatkowski is the founder and designer of Lulu DK Fabrics and a contributing editor of Elle Décor. Her signature style—the bold, generous use of color and whimsical hand-drawn designs—has made her textiles and dinnerware some of the most sought after in the industry. Lulu spent much of her youth on the sandy beaches of the Hamptons and the Bahamas in eclectic, color-drenched homes decorated by her mother. She received a fine arts degree from Parsons School of Design then spent five years in Paris studying trompe l’oeil painting before embarking on exotic travels to India, Northern Africa and Peru. These trips—namely the patterns and textures of the distinct worlds—along with memories from her childhood homes have inspired Lulu’s unique textile designs.
In recent years, Ammo Books published Lulu, part travel journal, part art book, and part autobiography, documenting Lulu’s travels and life through handwritten notes and colorful mixed media collages. Today Lulu lives in Los Angeles where she continues to find inspiration for her designs, whether it’s the flora and fauna from her garden or the whimsy of her three young sons. “I’m living my dream; painting, being a mother and surrounding myself with the inspiration of nature!”
